Description
Programmes and press cuttings relating to the playing career of Isolde Menges (1893-1976). The collection includes programmes with Menges as a soloist and programmes for the Menges string quartet. The collection also includes a small amount of programmes from Isolde Menges’ students and other concerts where Menges was not performing. The collection also contains press cuttings and obituaries of Isolde Menges, as well as some cuttings concerning her husband Tod Boyd (composer) and his family.

Isolde Menges concerts; Menges String quartet concerts; scrapbooks of press-cuttings; programmes for concerts where Isolde Menges was not playing; loose press cuttings, obituaries and miscellaneous items. “Isolde Menges concerts” and “Menges String Quartet concerts” are subdivided geographically, then alphabetically by concert venue, then by date.
