Description A collection of programmes from performances which took place in the People's Palace, Mile end road. The majority of programmes are from orchestral concerts, with some programmes from opera, other theatrical events and oratorios. There is a collection of programmes from the 1st and 2nd series of concerts by the British symphony orchestra, conducted by Adrian Boult. There is also a collection of BBC symphony orchestra programmes from 1945 to 1947, which include a range of premieres. For instance, there is a programme for the world premiere of Eugene Goossen's 2nd symphony. Programmes also cover the British premieres of Appalachian spring and Martinu's 4th symphony. There is also one programme involving the People's palace choral society.
