Description
The first in a collection of 7 boxes of concert programmes from the Albi Rosenthal collection. The vast majority of programmes from the collection are from performances in and around Oxford, including various organisations, such as Oxford University Orchestra, Oxford Bach Choir, Oxford Subscription Concerts, and Lincoln College concert series. There are also a few programmes from London and abroad (France, Switzerland and Germany) held within their own separate box. The boxes in this collection are organised as follows:

This box contains programmes from Oxford between 1920 and 1949 and 1 programme from 1893. Included is a complete festival programme and words for the Oxford festival of music 1922 May 7-13, inaugurated by the Oxford Bach Choir, and the Heather festival in 1926 May 2-8. It also includes 2 programmes for six concerts given by the Oxford subscription concerts on Thursday afternoons in the 22nd season (1941-1942). A programme for the Oxford Musical Festival 1935 May 5-12, the 1948 Oxford Festival of Music May 9-16 which advertise each festival of performances.
The programmes in this series are sorted by alphabetical location/college and then by date.
