This Programme has handwritten notes in pencil around most of the pieces, describing their reception in the concert or casting the writer's judgment over their performance.
Playbills for two concerts are also included. One for a series of benefit concerts for the General Hospital at the Birmingham Musical Festival, on Oct 7, 8, 9, and 10 1823 (including that described above). These provide supplementary details, including of the members of the orchestra. The other playbill is for Cathedral services at St. Philip's Church, Oct 7, 8, and 10, but includes a brief mention of the performance of the Messiah described above.
