16/02/1818. Scheme of Mr Fletcher’s Concert at the Royal Hotel on Monday, February 16, 1818. Performers include Miss E & J Fletcher, Mr Thorne, Miss Frith, W. Lindley. Music by Beethoven, Bishop, Cherubini, Corelli, Handel, Haydn, Himmel, Marcello, Mozart, Romberg.

11/04/1822. Scheme of Mr Fletcher’s Concert at the Royal Hotel on Thursday evening, April 11, 1822. Performers include Mrs Salmon, Mr Owen, Miss Jane Fletcher, and Misses E & J Fletcher. Music by Bishop, Bochsa, Braham, Coccia, Haydn, Mayseder, Mozart, Paisiello, Spohr, Winter.

01/12/1825. Scheme of Mr Fletcher’s Concert at the Royal Hotel on Thursday evening December 1, 1825. Performers include Mr Machin, Miss George, Miss Symonds and Mr Harris, Miss J Fletcher, Mr W. Lindley. Music by Bishop, Carafa, Handel, Pucitta, Purcell, Romberg, Rossini, Shield, Weber.

19/04/1827. Scheme of Mr Fletcher’s Concert at the Royal Hotel on Thursday evening April 19, 1827. Performers include Mr Machin, Miss Symonds, Miss Betts, Messrs Betts and W. Lindley, J. Fletcher. Music by Beethoven, Bishop, Bochsa, W. Hawes, Haydn, Mehul, Mozart, Parry, Romberg, Rossini, Weber.

21/01/1831. Mr T. Fletcher’s Benefit Concert, Royal Hotel, Friday January 21, 1831.
Leaders Mr Weichsel, and Mr F. Cramer, at the piano-forte Mr Munden. Other performers include Mr Purday, Miss Cramer, Miss Heaton, Mr Pearsall, and Mr Lindley
Music by Cherubini, Clarke, Guglielmi, Handel, Haydn, Jansa, Lee, Lindley, Mayer, Pepusch, Perry, Purday, Rossini, Weber, Welsh.

12/10/1832. Mr Thomas Fletcher and the Misses Fletcher’s Benefit Concert at Dee’s Royal Hotel, Birmingham on Friday, October 12, 1832. Leader Mr Weichsel, at the pianoforte, Mr Munden. Other performers are Miss Lindley and Mr Parry, Miss Bruce, Mr Best, Miss Jane Fletcher, Mr Cudmore. Music by Begrez, Guglielmi, Knyvett, Lindley, Martini, Mayseder, Moscheles, Mozart, Parry, Rossini, Travers, Weber.

22/03/1838. Scheme of Messrs Fletcher and Braham’s Concert in the Town Hall on Thursday evening March 22, 1838, Principal Vocal Performers. Mrs Bishop, Miss Aston, Mr Braham, Mr Harrison, Mr Baker and Mr Purday. Organ Mr Hollins, Leader Mr H. Shargool, Conductor Mr Munden. Music by Auber, Balfe, Beethoven, Bishop, Braham, Davey, Donizetti, Goss, Herz & Simms, Horseley, Loder, Mercadante, Romberg.

21/03/1844. Scheme of Mr Fletcher’s Grand Concert in the Town Hall on Tuesday March 21, 1844, Leader Mr H Shargool, Conductor Mr Munden. Other performers are Miss Flower and Miss Sara Flower, Madame Caradori Allen, Mr Machin, Mr Mellon, Mr E Shargool, Mr Woodhill, Mr Gough, Mrs J. Plummer, Miss Pursall, Messrs Baker and Pursall. Music is by Balfe, Beethoven, Bellini, Benedict, Cowell, Donizetti, Glover, Guglielmi, J. P. Knight, Loder, Mozart, Austin Phillips, Rossini, Spohr, Stevens.

Viewing the Collection There are charges for photocopying, photographic reproductions and local history publications. Extended searches by staff may be chargeable.

Certain archival and photographic material may require advance notice - please telephone to make an appointment.
Public Library, Free access. Everyone wanting access to archival material requires a County Archive Research Network ticket (CARN). You can register here for a ticket, free of charge, with official proof of identification. You will need to bring official proof of your current printed address, name and signature, such as a driving licence. Alternatively, you could provide one proof of your name and signature (passport, cash card or credit card) together with one proof of your current address (recent bank statement, utilities bill, medical card, council tax demand or social security book). You will need to bring your ticket on each visit.
