Description
A collection of 20 concert programmes, festival programmes and prospectuses from a variety of places in Wales, from 1942 to 1982.
The collection includes various concert and events diaries from events organised by the Welsh Arts Council as well as other guides to orchestral concerts.
The collection includes a number of concert programmes from visiting orchestras - and to a lesser extent, local orchestras - as well as a few from visiting choirs. The majority of these are from concerts promoted by Norman McCann. The following performing groups are represented in the collection: Berlin Symphony Orchestra; BBC Symphony Orchestra; BBC Welsh Symphony Orchestral; Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra; Royal Philharmonic Orchestra; Czech Philharmonic Chorus; Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra; Bulgarian National Choir;Hungarian Kodaly Chorus; Romanian National Choir.
There are also festival programmes and prospectuses from the following festivals: North Monmouthshire Festival of the Arts; Vale of Glamorgan Festival.
