Description
One folder of programmes from Trinidad and Tobago, from 1974 onwards. The majority of items in the collection date from 1980 to 1985.
The majority of items in the collection are from opera, concerts and recitals which took place in Port of Spain. These include a significant number of programmes from events which took place in the Queen's Hall. Other Port-of-Spain concert venues represented in the collection include the following: Alliance Francaise de Port of Sport; BAHS; Bishop Anstey Hall; Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Independence Square; Holiday Inn Ballroom; Residence of the British High Commissioner; Royal Victoria Institute; St. Mary's College; Trinidad Hilton Hotel. Other locations represented in the collection include Curepe (a programme from St. Augustine's Girls' High School), Port Fortin, San Fernando and Signal Hill (Tobago).
A number of items in the collection are from operas given by the Trinidad & Tobago Opera Company, or concert organised by the Recital Club. There are also a number of items from visiting ensembles.
