Collection Description

Collection name Netherlands (1887-)
Unique identifier
Description A collection of two boxes of programmes from the Netherlands. There is one box from the Amsterdam Concertgebouwe.

The Concertgebouwe box mainly contains programmes from the orchestral concerts series in the 1930s. There are also flyers for the chamber music series that ran alongside it. In most cases no orchestra name is given; it is likely that these performances were given by the Concertgebouweorkest.

The second box contains programmes from across the Netherlands, including Den Haag, Scheveningen, Utrecht and Amsterdam. There is further material from the Amsterdam Concertgebouwe. There are also a number of programmes from the Holland Festival (Amsterdam-Scheveningen-Den Haag).

The main organisations represented are the Concertgebouweorkest and Nederlandsche Opera.

Arrangement:
The Concertgebouwe box is in date order. The Netherlands box is also in date order.
