Description
A collection of one box/two boxes of programmes from the McCann collection, from 1931. The collection contains programmes from concerts given in the United Kingdom. The programmes were collected by the concert agent Norman McCann (1920-1999).
The contents of the collection are as follows:
Queen's Hall – 13 programmes; 1 prospectus
The collection includes one prospectus and three programmes from the Henry Wood Promenade Concerts.
Other London venues:
Royal Albert Hall (5); Victoria and Albert Museum (2); London Coliseum; Palladium (3); Finsbury Town Hall; Wigmore Hall (3); Kingsway Hall; Conway Hall, Red Lion Square.
In addition, there is also a prospectus for a concert series entitled "Special Sunday Concerts", which took place at both the Queen's Hall and Royal Albert Hall.

In addition, there is a festival programme from the ninth annual festival of the International Society for Contemporary Music. This took place in Oxford and London. There is also a concert programme from one concert that took place under the auspices of the Leeds Musical Festival. Though the venue is unspecified on the programme, the concert is likely to have taken place in the Town Hall, Leeds.
There are three programmes from concerts given by the Scottish Orchestra, where the venue has not been specified. There are three other programmes where the venue is either unspecified, or the name of the venue is given without geographic qualification.
