Description
A collection of one box from the McCann collection, from 1924. The collection contains programmes from concerts given in the United Kingdom. The programmes were collected by the concert agent Norman McCann (1920-1999).
The contents of the collection are as follows:
London:
Queen's Hall – 8 programmes; 1 prospectus
The collection includes two programmes and one prospectus from Henry Wood Promenade Concerts.
Royal Albert Hall – 12 programmes
The collection includes four programmes from the series entitled "Special Sunday Concerts".

The programmes are from concerts given as part of the concert series "Paterson's Concerts". These were orchestral concerts given by the Scottish Orchestra.

Pier Pavilion – 22 programmes
The programmes are from orchestral concerts, given by an orchestra entitled "Pier's Company Orchestra". A number of the programmes are annotated.

In addition, there is a leaflet about the Glastonbury Festival. There is also a programme from a military band concert held in Great Yarmouth. The programme describes three venues - namely the Wellington Pier Gardens, Pavilion and Winter Gardens – but does not specify at venue the concert took place.
There is a programme from a concert given by the Cambridge University Musical Society, where the venue is not specified. There are seven other programmes where either the concert venue is not specified, the geographic location of the venue is not known, or the programme is spans a multi-venue tour.
