Description A collection of one box of programmes from the McCann collection, from 1900 to 1905. The collection contains programmes from concerts given in the United Kingdom. The programmes were collected by the concert agent Norman McCann (1920-1999).

The contents of the collection are as follows:

London:

Queen's Hall – 16 programmes
The collection includes two programmes from "Promenade Concerts".

Royal Albert Hall – 5 programmes

Bechstein Hall – 5 programmes

St. James's Hall – 7 programmes
In addition to these seven programmes, there is one programme from a concert where no venue has been printed on the programme, but "St. James's Hall" appears as a pencil annotation on the first page.

There is a flyer listing concerts at various London venues on 10/01/1905. There is a programme from a concert given in the series "South Place Sunday Popular Concerts" in 1904. Though the venue is not specified, it is possible that this concert took place in the premises of the South Place Ethical Society; in 1904, the premises of the society were in South Place, Finsbury.

The programmes are form concerts given by the Scottish Orchestra.
