Description One volume of programmes from "Edinburgh Classical Concerts", from 1906 to 1911. The concerts were held in the Music Hall. The concerts took place weekly on Saturdays, and started at 3 pm. The concerts were usually chamber music concerts or solo recitals. The programmes include analytical programme notes, musical examples, biographies of performers and a number of portraits of performing artists.

The collection includes a programme from a concert featuring Debussy in 1909 – billed as his first appearance in Scotland. The concert consisted entirely of Debussy’s music, and included the composer accompanying a number of his own songs.
