A collection of programmes from London theatres beginning with "P".
Concerts:
There are a few programmes from concerts in this collection. There are programmes from the Phoenix theatre, including a programme from a recital and a programme from an orchestral concert given by the National Symphony Orchestra in 1943. There a programmes from concerts given at the Place Theatre, including a programme of restoration music and a leaflet from a series of contemporary music. There are also programmes from the Palace theatre, including a concert given in 1952 by the London Symphony Orchestra with Edith Sitwell and Dylan Thomas as speakers.
Staged:
There is a substantial amount of programmes from the Palace theatre, also known as the Palace Theatre of Varieties. There a significant amount of programmes from pre-1920 and a significant amount from the mid 1950s. The collection consists of programmes from operettas, musicals and ballets. In addition, the collection contains an undated programme from Ivanhoe (Sullivan) and a souvenir programme from 10/12/1892 ("opening night", as stated on the programme, but would actually have been the re-opening of the theatre after its brief existence as the Royal English Opera House).

Arrangement:
The programmes are arranged alphabetically by venue name, then chronologically. The programmes for the Palace Theatre of Varieties are interfiled chronologically with the programmes from the Palace Theatre.
