Collection name London: Festivals: St. Pancras Festival (1957-1966)

Description A collection of 57 festival programmes, concert programmes, leaflets and brochures from the St. Pancras Festival, from 1957 to 1966. The festival was organised by the St. Pancras Libraries and Arts Committee, and was founded in 1954. It later became the Camden Festival – see separate collection record.

The collection contains programmes from awide variety of venues in the St. Pancras and Camden area, including a significant amount of material from St. Pancras Town Hall. The collection contains a large amount of programmes from opera performances, which includes programmes from the following companies: Handel Opera Society, Group Eight, Impresario Society and Philopera Circle. There are also a number of programmes from concerts given by the Finchley Children's Music Group.
