Description A collection of 29 festival programmes, brochures, concert programmes and press cuttings from the London Handel Festival, from 1985 to 2005. The festival was established in 1977, and the earliest programme in this collection is from the eighth festival – held in 1985. The festival includes concerts, opera performances and the Handel Singing Competition (from 2002 onwards). The programmes are from various London venues, predominantly from St. George's, Hanover Square. Other venues include the Royal College of Music (for instance, the Britten Theatre and the Recital Hall) and St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle. The festival is organised by the London Handel Society, and a number of concerts feature the London Handel Orchestra.
