Description
A collection of one box of programmes from St. Martin-in-the-Fields, from 1933 to 2001. The collection includes programmes from a wide variety of concert types, including choral concerts and orchestral concerts. Some orchestral concerts were given by the Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields. There is also a significant amount of programmes and flyers from solo recitals, particularly from the late 1960s onwards. These are largely from a series of lunchtime recitals that took place on Mondays and Tuesdays. Some of these programmes state that the concerts were organised by the Music Society at St. Martin-in-the-Fields.
In addition, the collection contains programmes from memorial services for recently deceased composers and performers.
