Description A collection of one box of programmes from St. James’s Church, Piccadilly, from 1955 to 2001. The collection includes programmes from a wide variety of concert types, including sacred choral concerts, small-scale orchestral concerts and solo recitals. There are a number of programmes from concerts organised by the London Bach Group in the 1950s; these include music by a wide variety of composers, as well as by J.S. Bach. There is a programme from the inaugural concert by the Schubert Society, on 19/11/1957. The collection contains programmes from a disparate group of performing ensembles: these include a number of programmes from the Board of Trade Choir, La Spiritata Chamber Orchestra (chiefly from the 1970s) and Westminster Choral Society.
