Collection name London: Blackheath Concert Halls (1924-)

Description A collection of programmes from the Blackheath Concert Rooms. The programmes in the collection are chiefly from the re-establishment of the halls, post 1986: these programmes are predominantly from the late 1980s and early 1990s. There are four programmes – two copies of two separate programmes – from 1924 and 1925. The collection has a substantial amount of season brochures alongside programmes from individual events. There are also a few other types of printed ephemera including letters to patrons and brochures for the Blackheath Conservatoire. The majority of items in the collections are from concerts, but there are a few programmes from dancing and poetry events. The majority of concert programmes pertain to chamber concerts and recitals. There are also a few programmes in the collection from jazz concerts.

Programmes are arranged chronologically. Miscellaneous non-programme items are filled at the end of the sequence.
