Description A collection of 32 programmes from Oxford which do not specify the venue in which the concert took place, from 1827 to 1958.

The first programme in the collection is from a concert which took place on 26 June 1827. The concert was given "In the Theatre, at Oxford", but no further details are listed. The programme is from a performance "Palestine" - described as a "sacred oratorio", with music by William Crotch and words by Rev. Reginald Heber. The vocal soloists were Mr. Knyvett, Mr. Phillips, Mr. Vaughan, Miss Stephens, Mr. Taylor, Madame Caradori Allen, Mrs Knyvett and Mr Wilkins.

The remainder of the collection dates from 1908 onwards. There are programmes from a variety of ensembles and organisations including the following: Oxford University Opera Club; Oxford Bach Choir; Oxford Orchestral Society; Oxford University Musical Club and Union; Summertown PSA Orchestra - Popular Concert; Oxford Subscription Concerts; Oxford Harmonic Society; Musick Makers' Guild.
