One box of miscellaneous materials from the Hallé Orchestra, from 1908 to 1991. Though the orchestra was based in Manchester, some of the materials describe concerts given in other locations in the United Kingdom as well as international venues.
The collection contains the following items:
18 prospectuses (1940-1961 – not complete and includes duplicates)
3 items/prospectuses from the Hallé Centenary Festival (1957-1958)
3 orchestra magazines (1974, 1983, 1985)
7 yearbooks (1982-1991 – not complete)
Press Cuttings (1935-1939; undated items)
Leaflets and other items of performance ephemera (including fundraising appeal for 1908 jubilee, membership application brochure and details about 1981 international tour)
