Description A collection of 19 programmes from St. George's Hall, Liverpool, from 1926 to 1982. The majority of programmes in the collection are from the 1920s and 1930s. St. George's Hall was partially opened in 1851, and completed in 1854. The hall is extant in 2007. A number of programmes in the collection specify that the concerts took place in the Concert Room, located within St. George's Hall.

The collection includes programmes from solo recitals, chamber music concerts, choral concerts and orchestral concerts. Ensembles represented in the collection include the Merseyside Symphony Orchestra and the Liverpool Bach Choir.

Concert-organisations represented in the collection include the British Music Society and the Liverpool Philharmonic Society/ Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Society. In addition, there are a number of programmes from the series "Sunday Evening Concerts" and "Master Pianoforte Recitals".
