Unique identifier
Description
A collection of four folders of programmes from Canterbury Cathedral, from 1933 to 1997. The collection includes programmes from concerts which took place in the Chapter House.
The collection includes programmes from services, choral concerts, orchestral concerts and mystery plays. However, the majority of items in the collection are from choral concerts, from concerts given by the Canterbury Choral Society. The concerts were frequently accompanied by the Canterbury Festival Orchestra. In addition, the collection also includes programmes from a festival held in the cathedral, variously described as the "Festival of Music and Drama", "Canterbury Festival" or "Canterbury Cathedral Festival". For prospectuses from the festival, see "multi-venue" record.
