A collection of 23 programmes from Cambridge, where the concert venue is not known. The programmes date from 1876 to 1996. The collection contains a significant number of programmes from the 1910s and 1920s.
The earliest item in the collection is a programme from a concert given on 16 February 1876. The concert was organised by the Cambridge University Musical Society (CUMS) and was part of a series of "Wednesday Popular Concerts". The programme included chamber music, solo instrumental items and solo vocal items.
The rest of the collection dates from 1911 onwards, and includes a number of items from concerts associated with the University of Cambridge. These include a number of programmes from concerts organised by CUMS, including other programmes from popular concerts and programmes from a series of chamber concerts (1913-1914). The collection also includes a few official programmes form the university, such as programme from degree ceremonies.
