Description
A collection of seven programmes from the Royal Pavilion, from 1851 to 1986.
The first programme in the collection is from a concert given on 7 August 1851. The programme included instrumental and vocal music, as well as performances of organ music. The following musicians performed in the concert: Miss Payne (vocalist); Miss Sutton (vocalist); Mr W. Cave (vocalist); Mr Gutteridge (organist); Mr Barber (vocalist); Mr Thom (orchestra leader); Mr Gibbons (pianist).
The rest of the collection dates from 1926 onwards. The collection includes programmes from orchestral concerts, recitals and chamber concerts.
