A collection of 25 festival programmes, concert programmes and prospectuses from the Birmingham Music Festival, from 1944 to 1998.
The festival took place in the Friends' Institute, Moseley Road (1944-1964), Birmingham School of Music (1966-1969) and the Birmingham and Midland Institute (1998). The festival was competitive, and was founded in 1941. The collection contains festival programmes from the following years: 1944-1947; 1950-1952; 1955-1958; 1960-1964; 1966-1969. In addition, there are concert programmes from the Festival Concert (1950 and 1956), a prospectus (1966) and a syllabus (1998).
