Description A collection of programmes with words for concerts given on 15 February, 30 April, and 7 May 1890 at St James’s Hall, London as the first season of Young People’s Orchestral Concerts, conducted by Mr Henschel.

All of these concerts were in three sections, with two sets of orchestral pieces broken up by a set of largely German lieder, performed by Mrs Henschel with piano accompaniment.

All programmes include historical and analytical notes (with musical examples) by Joseph Bennett.
