a) Morning performances
The concert on 14 September was a performance of Handel, The Messiah and that on 15 September was described as a Grand Selection of Sacred Music. Both were conducted by Thomas Greatorex, with assistance from Mr [Matthew] Camidge, Dr [John] Camidge, Mr White and Mr Philip Knapton. The Grand Selection was a three-part performance comprising A Selection from the Oratorio of Judas Maccabeus, the first part of Haydn, The Creation and selections from parts 2 and 3 of The Creation.

Both programmes begin with the following list of principal vocal performers: Madame Caradori, Miss Travis and Miss Goodall; Miss Stephens, Miss Wilkinson, Miss Farrar and Mademoiselle Garcia; Mr Vaughan, Mr Sapio, Mr W. Knyvett, Mr Terrail and Mr Braham; and Mr Bellamy, Mr Phillips and Signor de Begnis.

The programme for the concert on 14 September includes an extensive list of the instrumental/orchestral ensemble, which combined leading London instrumentalists (listed in capitals) with a large number of local musicians, led by Franz Cramer. The programme for 15 September includes an abbreviated list of this ensemble, citing only the section principals.

Both programmes provide an indication of the number of performers in the choral ensemble and that for the 15 September includes an extensive list of Patrons of the Festival.

b) Evening concert
This was a two-part concert of vocal and instrumental solos, with orchestral overtures/symphonies at the beginning of each act and at the close of the concert, led by Mr Kiesewetter and conducted by Thomas Greatorex.

The programme provides a list of the principal members of the instrumental ensemble. It also cites the same list of vocal soloists (minus Miss Farrar) as at the morning concerts.
