Description Programme and Book of Words of the 39th Orchestral Concert of the Westminster Orchestral Society (13th season), given on 9 March 1898 at the Town Hall, Westminster, with Miss Regina de Sales (vocal) and Georg Liebling (piano) and a full orchestra conducted by Mr Stewart Macpherson.

This was a two-part concert, including the first performance of A. Davidson Arnott, Concert Overture in D, op. 19 ‘Tartarin’ (dedicated to the Westminster Orchestral Society).

The programme carries brief historical and descriptive notes on the orchestral works performed and biographical notes (with photographs) on the principal performers. There are lists of the committee, subscribers and members of the Westminster Orchestral Society and a list of the orchestral ensemble. There is also a short printed statement by Algernon S. Rose (Hon. Sec.) and a photography of the Society’s Banquet of 1897.
