Description Programme for a performance given at Westminster Cathedral on 11 June 1902, conducted by Messrs R.R. Terry and Arthur Barclay and with Mr E. D’Evry (organ).

This was a two-part concert, consisting principally of sacred vocal music but also including an organ solo by J.S. Bach and Beethoven, Symphony No. 5.

The programme includes an introductory note explaining that: ‘the primary object of this performance is to test the acoustic properties of the Cathedral (by a rendering of music of every period) before the building is put to any ecclesiastical use'.

The programme also includes a complete list of the orchestral performers and some brief historical programme notes.
