Description A collection of 23 loose programmes for performances given at Pembroke College, Oxford between 1865 and 1922, including programmes with words for Evening Concerts (1865–77) and Commemoration Concerts (1879–98) given under the auspices of the Pembroke College Musical Society and for 5 Smoking Concerts (1902–22). Also, a programme with words for Madrigals, Part-Songs and Glees given on 12 December 1867.

The majority of programmes include records of the committee and/or Stewards for the concerts.

1. Evening Concerts
16 June 1865, 3 June 1875, 15 June 1876 and 7 June 1877: two-part vocal concerts, typically with piano duet pieces at the start of each act. With the exception of that for 16 June 1865, all programmes include words.

2. Commemoration Concerts
12 June 1879, 3 June 1880, 16 June 1881, 8 June 1882, 12 June 1884, 11 June 1885, 16 June 1887, 11 June 1891, 16 June 1892, 15 June 1893, 20 June 1895, 17 June 1896 and 16 June 1898: two-part vocal concerts, with instrumental (occasionally orchestral) repertory at the beginning of each act. With the exception of those for the final two concerts listed, all programmes include words. That for 1896 includes a list of the orchestral ensemble.

3. Smoking Concerts
22 February 1902, 23 February 1903, 26 February 1904, 15 November 1919 and 1 March 1922: these were two-part concerts of vocal and instrumental solos, some of which included orchestral repertory. Programmes for the concerts of 1919 and 1922 carry the signatures of some of the performers.
