Programmes for 'Twenty Five Years of British Chamber Music (1906-13)', given in the Duke's Hall of the Royal Academy of Music, London on 17 and 31 May, 11 and 25 June and 12 July 1951 by the students of the Royal Academy of Music, under the direction of Herbert Withers.
This document begins with a brief introductory statement which includes the following claim: ‘The programmes … show the tendencies of this period towards new harmonic textures, new combinations of instruments and voices, and new forms’.
There is a complete list of the students involved and a record of the chamber music series given by the Royal Academy of Music in previous years.
