Collection name
Susi Dell collection: Wigmore Hall programmes (1999-2001)
Unique identifier
Mus. 321 c.1
Description
A collection of prospectuses and programmes for performances given at the Wigmore Hall, London, between November 1999 and May 2001, held as the third of seven boxes comprising the collection of Susi Dell.
The majority of the concerts documented were given as part of the Master Series. The box also contains material from the Wigmore Hall Centenary Festival of 2000-01 (prospectus and 4 programmes) and three further documents relating to miscellaneous performances given at the same venue between 2000 and 2001.
All programmes (and prospectuses containing programmes) include a historical note on the venue, words and programme notes, and biographical notes with photographs. Certain programmes carry handwritten annotations, which provide Dell's observations on the performance, including records of encores performed.
