Description
Programme and wordbook for a Grand Selection of Sacred Music, given during the Morning and Evening Services of St. John’s Chapel, Wolverhampton on 16 November 1828, to mark the re-opening of the organ.
The performances consisted largely of extracts from oratorios by Handel and Haydn, given by Miss Symonds, Mr Kenworthy and Mr Machin (vocal) with singers from the Birmingham Oratorio Choral Society, directed by Mr Rudge (organ).
