Description Programmes and wordbooks for concerts given at St. James's Hall, London on 23 November 1897 and 18 February 1898.

23 November 1897: Miss Florence Power’s Vocal Recital, featuring Florence Power (vocal), Mr Dettmar Dressel (violin) and Mr Hans Dressel (cello), accompanied by Mr S. Liddle. This was a two-part concert of vocal and instrumental solos, including the first English performance of Schumann, Der Handschuh (op.87).

18 February 1898: Louis H. Hillier’s Fourth Annual Concert, with Mademoiselle Eva Cortesi and Hugo Heinz (vocal), Miss Elise Joran (piano), Mr Clyde Twelvetrees (cello) and Mr Nicolas L. Radoux (flute), with the Hillier Belgian String Quartet (Messrs Louis H. Hillier, Jean Pirson, Jules de Villez, and Clyde Twelvetrees), accompanied by Henry Bird. This was a programme of vocal and instrumental music, including a large number of works by Hillier, many given for the first time. The programme concludes with an advertisement of publications of Hillier’s compositions.
