Description
Programme with words for a Grand Miscellaneous Concert given for the benefit of the Royal Society of Female Musicians on 23 April 1841 at Her Majesty’s Concert Rooms, Hanover Square, led by Mr F. Cramer and conducted by Sir George Smart.
This was a two-part performance, the first part consisting of Handel, L’Allegro ed Il Pensieroso and the second part containing solo and ensemble vocal music, with an orchestral overture by Weber and a string trio by Corelli.
The document includes a list of Patrons for the concert and provides the following information regarding the performers:
