Description 7 files of material relating to the Reading Industrial Music Club, 1946–50, six of which contain concert programmes. The final folder provides introductory notes (with bibliograph) on the Industrial Music Clubs Scheme.

The Reading Industrial Music Club was one of a number of such clubs promoted by the Arts Council of Great Britain immediately after the war to continue the work of the war-time concerts promoted by the Council for the Encouragement of Music and the Arts (CEMA) and the Entertainments National Service Association (ENSA).

The six files containing programmes – which also include correspondence and minutes – are divided as follows: January-October 1946; October 1946-May 1947; June-December 1947; September 1947-June 1948; April 1948-June 1949; July 1949-October 1950.
