Programmes and wordbooks for the Concerts of Ancient Music given during the seasons 1776-79 and 1780-83, bound as two volumes.
Volume 1: 1776-79
Many of these documents carry handwritten indications of the Director(s) for each concert. Some also provide additional information regarding the performers.
1776: 5, 12, 19 and 26 February, 4, 11, 18 and 25 March, 22 April and 6 May.
1777: 3, 10, 17 and 24 February, 3, 10 and 17 March, 7, [14], 21 and 28 April and 5 May.
1778: 9, 16 and 23 February, 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 March, 6 April and 4, 11 and 18 May.
1779: 8, 15 and 22 February, 1, 8, 15 and 22 March, 12, 19 and 26 April and 3 and 10 May.
Volume 2: 1780-83
At least one programme from the seasons 1780-82 includes a list of Subscribers to the concerts. There are some handwritten annotations, concerned largely with the performers.
