Description
A sequence of 51 boxes containing loose posters, handbills, programmes and other material relating to performances given at various Oxford venues - including the Holywell Music Room, the Sheldonian Theatre, the Town Hall and various college venues - since 1831.

Detailed entries are provided for the first eight boxes in this sequence.
Although the earliest programme dates from 1831, the majority of the material is from the 20th and 21st centuries. A large number of nineteenth-century programmes have been bound into four guardbooks/scrapbooks, which also have entries here. The earliest programmes are those from the Holywell Music Room concerts, with the earliest extant document being from 1762 (see Mus d.1.d.64).
