Description The second of three boxes of material relating to the Oxford Bach Choir, containing programmes with words for performances given on 22 November 1970 and 1 June 1996 at the Sheldonian Theatre, Oxford and on 17 May 1997 at Symphony Hall, Birmingham.

Also, A4 posters/handbills for performances given at various Oxford venues (principally the Sheldonian Theatre) from 1972 onwards.


1. Programmes
22 November 1970: programme with words for Elgar, The Kingdom, with Iris Bourne, Barbara Robotham, Adrian de Peyer and John Carol Case (vocal) and the Oxford Orchestral Society, conducted by Jack Westrup.

1 June 1996: poster and programme with words and notes for a Centenary Concert, given with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and Peter Thomas (violin), conducted by Christopher Robinson. This document includes biographical notes with photographs, a historical essay on the 'First 100 Years' of the Bach Choir, and a list of the choral ensemble.

17 May 1997: programme with words and notes (including biographical notes with photographs) for Beethoven, Missa Solemnis, with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Christopher Robinson.
