Description The first of four boxes of material relating to the activity of Music at Oxford, including Season Brochures for performances given between 1982 and 1988. Also, individual programmes with notes (including biographical notes with photographs) for performances given under the auspices of this group at the Sheldonian Theatre on 27 September 1985, 28 February and 1 October 1987 and 16 January 1988.

All brochures contain programmes with historical, descriptive and biographical notes, photographs and detailed records of the performers. Those for the period up to May 1984 contain programmes for performances given at a single venue (listed below). Thereafter, brochures contain programmes for performances given at various Oxford venues, principally the Sheldonian Theatre but also including the Holywell Music Room, the Town Hall, Christ Church Cathedral and New College Chapel and the chapels of various other Oxford colleges.
