Description
The programme and wordbook for a performance of Handel, Acis and Galatea and Niels Gade, Psyche, given at St. James's Hall, London on 12 December 1882 by Mr Willing’s Choir, with Madame Marie Roze, Miss Coward, Miss J. Rosse, Mr J. Bridson, Mr Albert James, Mr F. King and Mr E. Lloyd (vocal).
This document includes a historical Preface to Acis and Galatea, analytical notes (with music examples) to Psyche by Joseph Bennett, and a list of the orchestral ensemble. The notes to Acis carry some additional information added by hand.
