Description Programme with words for Mr Henry Bird’s Concert, given at St. James’s Hall, London on 16 May 1898. This was a programme of vocal and instrumental solos, with larger ensemble music at the beginning and end of the concert, including Bach, Concerto in C minor for Two Pianos.

The programme lists the following soloists: Madame Blanche Marchesi, Charles Santley and Mr Plunket Greene (vocal); Lady Hallé (violin), Mr Alfred Gibson (viola), Mr W.E. Whitehouse (cello); and Messrs. Leonard Borwick and Henry Bird (pianos).

The orchestral accompaniment to the Bach concerto was provided by members of the Royal College of Music orchestra, conducted by C.V. Stanford.
