Collection Description

Collection name Keith Falkner: Box 2 (1922-69)
Unique identifier
Description A miscellaneous collection of handbills and programmes for performances given by the bass-baritone Keith Falkner (1900–94) at a range of venues in England, 1922–69, and North American, 1952–60. Also, two programmes for performance given in Wellington, New Zealand in 1956.

All documents are held loosely within the last of 3 boxes to contain material relating to Falkner. Also contained here are a number of press cuttings and some correspondence, including documentation for Oxford University Encaenia of 25 June 1969 at which Falkner was awarded an honorary D.Mus.

The majority of the performances featured Falkner himself. Certain additional performers are cited below.
