Description
Programmes and wordbooks for three performances given on 13, 14 and 15 September 1831 at the Shire Hall, Hereford, as part of the Hereford Music Meeting.
These were two-part miscellaneous concerts, the first including an extended selection from Handel, Alexander’s Feast.
All three programmes provide a list of the orchestral ensemble - led by Franz Cramer and conducted by Professor [John] Clarke Whitfeld - and cite the following vocal soloists: Madame Stockhausen, Miss Cramer, Miss Apperley and Miss Masson; Mr Braham, Mr Vaughan, Mr Terrail and Mr Phillips.
