Description A miscellaneous collection of handbills, programmes, and prospectuses for performances of music by Handel, given at various German venues between 1909 and 1968, arranged chronologically and held as the ninth of twelve volumes of Handeliana.

The collection includes prospectuses for a number of Handel festivals - notably those in Göttinger and Halle - as well as individual programmes for performances in Berlin, Lüdenscheid and Mainz. Also, a programme with wordbook for a performance of Handel, The Triumph of Time and Truth given as a Utrechtsch Studenten Concert on 13 March 1953 in the Gebouw voor Kunsten en Wetenschappen, Utrecht.

- Göttinger Handel-Festspiele
27 June-5 July 1959, 1-4 July 1960, 25-30 June 1961, 1-5 July 1962, 23-28 June 1963, 27-29 June 1964, 20-24 June 1965, 26-29 June 1966, 1-6 July 1967 and 22-25 June 1968. Also, individual handbills/programmes with words for: 30 June (Aula der Universitat, Kammerkonzert) and 1/3 July 1959 (Johanniskirche, directed by Ludwig Doormann) and 25 June 1961 (Aula der Pädagogischen Hochschule).

- Handel Festspiele Halle
22-24 February 1935, 16-19 June 1956 and 7-10 June 1958. Also, two copies of a programme for 23 February 1939.

21-24 June 1928: Zweites Handelfest in Kiel.
12-19 September [no year], Liege: Handel et les Nations d'Europe, given as the IXe Festival de musique de Liege.
July-August 1965, Landesbühne, Hannover: Musik und Theatre in Herrenhausen. Also, a separate document entitled Oper im Galeriegebäude, Handeltage, detailing productions of Handel, Acis and Galatea and Susanna and other Handel performances.

27 January 1919, Philharmonie: Handel, Acis and Galatea, given as the III Vereinskonzert of the Philharmonischer Chor, directed by Siegfried Ochs.
3 November 1919, Sing-Akademie: Handel-Abend by Maria Pos-Carloforti with Eduard Erhard (baritone) and Georg Göhler (handbill).

- Lüdenscheid
1 October 1961: Eröffnungskonzert, inc. Handel, Ode for St. Cecilia's Day, directed by Dr Konrad Ameln (with wordbook).

- Mainz, Saale des Konzerthauses

Collections Overview The Gerald Coke Handel Collection is an internationally important collection of material relating to Handel and his contemporaries, including manuscripts, printed books and music, libretti, paintings and engravings, memorabilia, art works and ephemera. The Handel collection is open for research Wednesday-Friday, and the display room (with access to recorded music) is open with the rest of the museum Tuesday-Sunday 10-6.
