Description Programmes and wordbooks for two morning and one evening performance given between 29 September and 1 October 1830 as part of the Halifax Grand Musical Festival.

All programmes contain a list of Patrons for the Festival and offer the following list of performers: Mrs Wm Knyvett, Miss Farrar and Madame Stockhausen, Mr Braham, Mr William Knyvett, Mr Bennett and Mr Phillips (vocal), led by Mr White with Dr [John] Camidge (piano).

The morning performances (30 September and 1 October) were given at the Parish Church and the evening concert (29 September) at the New Assembly Room, Halifax.

29 September 1830: Miscellaneous Selection/a two-part concert of vocal and instrumental solos with Mr Nicholson (flute) and Mr Stockhausen (harp). A symphony by Mozart opened the concert and an overture by Rossini was included at the start of the second act.
30 September 1830: Handel, The Messiah (wordbook).
1 October 1830: Haydn, The Creation (part I) and a 'selection from the works of Handel, Mozart, and other celebrated composers' (wordbook).
