Description
A collection of six items relating to musical and operatic performances given in Augsburg between 1929 and 1953, held as individual items within the first of four boxes of programmes for concerts at German venues A-Z.
The collection includes documentation of two performances given at the Amphitheater am 'Roten Tor'/Freilichtbühne am Roten Tor on 3 September 1929 (Beethoven, Fidelio, poster) and [no date] 1936 (Friedrich von Flotow, Martha, programme with notes).
Also, a copy of the Blätter des Stadttheaters Augsburg including a programme with notes for Eugen d'Albert, Tiefland given at the Staddtheater on 27 December 1929 and documentation of 2 performances given at the Städtische Bühnen Augsburg on 26 September 1950 (Bamberger Symphoniker, directed by Clemens Krauss, handbill) and [no date] 1953 (Verdi, Die Macht des Schicksals [The Force of Destiny], programme with notes, including biographical notes and photographs).
