Unique identifier
e.1399. (7.)
Description
The programme and wordbook for a Grand Morning Concert organized by the Foreign Press Association in London in aid of funds for the relief of distressed foreign artists in London, given at the Royal Albert Hall on 10 June 1892.
This was a two-part concert of vocal and instrumental solos and duets, with orchestral pieces at the beginning and end.
The programme provides an extensive list of the vocal and instrumental soloists engaged, including Sarasate (violin) and Monsieur Widor (organ). It also carries occasional handwritten annotations which record any changes to the printed programme and provide an indication of those works which were encored.
