Description
A bound volume of programmes, with words and Analytical and Historical notes by Edgar F. Jacques, for the Queen's Hall Sunday Afternoon Orchestral Concerts, given by the Queen's Hall Orchestra, conducted by Henry Wood, between 1897 and 1898.
19 and 26 September; 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 October; 7, 14, 21 and 28 November; 5, 12, 19 and 26 December 1897.
2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 January; 6, 13, 20 and 27 February; 6, 13, 20 and 27 March; 3, 10, 17 and 24 April; 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 May; and 5, 12, 19 and 26 June 1898.
These were two-part orchestral concerts, with some solo vocal and instrumental repertory and including a number of works receiving their first performance in England and/or London.
