Description
Souvenir programme book for a Concert in Aid of the Edwina Mountbatten Trust, presented by Friends of Vellore and given on 9 November 1960 at the Royal Albert Hall, London.
This was a two-part concert of nineteenth-century orchestral repertory, given by the London Philharmonic Orchestra (led by Henry Datyner) with Yfrah Neaman (violin), conducted by Normal del Mar.
The programme includes historical and analytical notes (with musical examples) by Aubrey Morley and carries biographical notes and photographs of the soloists and conductor.
